Define loads and boundary conditions

Loads in Meshparts can be of these types:

  • Forces or torques
  • Accelerations (linear or angular)
  • Angular velocities
  • Pressure
  • Temperature

Boundary conditions in Meshparts can be of these types:

  • Displacements (in all six degrees of freedom)
  • Linear velocities
  • Thermal (heat generation and flux, convection)

You can apply loads and boundary conditions (LBCs) to all type of geometry items available except for reference planes (XY, YZ and ZX items) and reference axes (X, Y, Z items).

Fixate surface

  1. In the 3D area, select a surface that should be fixated (no motion possible).
  2. In the quick access windows near to your mouse pointer, click on the symbol

Apply a force to a surface

  1. In the 3D area, select a surface that should be loaded with a force.
  2. In the quick access windows near to your mouse pointer, click on the symbol
  3. In the details area, adapt the directions components of the force.
